[OS] Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: June 2026. We review and update this statement annually or when significant accessibility changes are made to the site.

Our commitment

Navien OptiSleep is committed to ensuring that navienoptisleep.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also recognize our obligations under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are committed to providing an accessible digital experience for all users. This is an ongoing effort and not a finished state.

What we have implemented

As of June 2026, we have implemented the following accessibility features:

  • Semantic HTML5 markup with proper heading hierarchy
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation with aria-current="page" on active links
  • Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen reader users
  • aria-label attributes on major page regions, buttons, and interactive elements
  • Decorative images marked with empty alt attributes; functional images include descriptive alternative text
  • Sufficient color contrast on primary text elements (verified against WCAG 2.1 AA 4.5:1 minimum ratio)
  • Respects prefers-reduced-motion — scroll-triggered animations are disabled for users who have requested reduced motion in their system settings
  • Form inputs include visible labels and descriptive placeholders
  • Cart and interactive UI elements include appropriate ARIA roles and states

Known limitations

We are transparent about areas we are still improving:

  • Scroll-driven animations: Our interactive feature storytelling relies on scroll position. While reduced-motion preferences disable animations, a full keyboard-navigable alternative is in development.
  • Review carousel: The drag-to-scroll review carousel does not currently have full keyboard navigation. Arrow-key support is planned.
  • Screen reader testing: We have not yet completed formal testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, or TalkBack. We cannot claim full compatibility with specific assistive technologies at this time.
  • JavaScript dependency: Some interactive elements require JavaScript. Users browsing without JavaScript may experience degraded functionality in the cart and product pages.
  • Third-party tools: Shopify Payments, analytics, and any third-party widgets may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We evaluate accessibility when selecting partners but cannot guarantee third-party conformance.

Ongoing commitment

We conduct an internal accessibility review annually and after major site updates. We are actively working to address the known limitations listed above and will update this statement as improvements are made.
